This is a well done B&W book based on the pulps. I gave it 4 stars because it does have a few typos, like Toughess instead of Toughness for some of the character stat write-ups.

Unfortunately, I dont have a lot to add, the previous reviewer did well.
I bought this book to ride alongside the Realms of Cthulhu book for SavageWorlds, I just wanted some extra pulp material and rules. This book was a delight, it was more than i was expecting. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted though; a book filled with pulp magazine ideas and history, lots of stuff for developing adventures.
The 5 part PlotPoint adventure is pretty good, I'd like to try to run it in the future. The Story Generator is well done too, it uses the pulp adventure equation written by Lester Dent (Doc Savage writer).

This game is wonderful if you want a pulp action game. The Savage worlds system lends itself to the genera easily. This book, like many of the savage worlds books I enjoy, gives a decent history on pulp giving the GM and players alike a good sense of how to run a fun game within the genera. It also gives a sensible break down of archetypes (both villain and hero), and breaks those archetypes into villains that fit within their archetypes. One of the best parts of the book is that is breaks down those villains by the culture/ethnic groups that pulp focused on Nazis, Indian, and Asian. The additional edges and side rules are worth owning if you want to expand the options in other games as well. My personal favorite of these are the edges you can give villains.
