| Customer Reviews: All Flesh Must Be Eaten June 24, 2010 Djstarr05 One of the better rpgs that I've played. If you love zombies, you'll love this book. Very informative. A must-have for anyone who plays this game.
Wonderful! May 4, 2010 RPGnerd This won't be a lengthy review. Others have done a lengthy review, and I don't see the need to repeat. In short, All Flesh is a wonderful system. almost every situation you can think of can be covered without a hassle, the rules are concise and do not interfere with each other. You won't have to read passages over and over and over again to determine their meaning or how to implement a rule. The zombie creation system is easy, fast, and thorough, and it is plenty to get you started, and is inspiration for more traits to use. Combat (specifically gun vs gun) is DEADLY. One decent hit, and you're probably done for. The rules are, to summarize, intuitive and easy, but thorough.
Character creation is fast and easy, though it is very, very easy to create super powerful characters, so I suggest game masters approve characters before play. I can make a character in under 5 minutes, and it's not hard. The skills/attributes will let you create just about any "archetype" (hairdresser, soldier, ex-con, police officer, taxi driver, lawyer, mechanic, etc) you can think of.
The book includes several "deadworlds" to use in your campaign, and it is more than enough for you to play in. Set the campaign in your home town!
One neat thing you can do is even though AFMBE bills itself as a zombie game, you can simply ignore the chapter on zombies, and the page on fear tests, and have yourself a great, rules lite modern RPG. The game is very modular in this sense. I ran a "Red dawn" type game with this ruleset, I just threw out the zombie part and it went great.
However, the one thing I can say is if you want to run a long lasting AFMBE, you're probably going to need One of the Living. See

I recieved this as a gift and have fallen in love with it. It gives plenty of information on how to play the game and many settings to play it in.. A must have if you love zombie movies and play tabletop rpg's..
Fun Zombie Romp August 2, 2009 Clifford A. Anderson (Anchorage, AK) This game is pretty well engineered for running a zombie apocalypse game at your table. The rules are perhaps a little bit heavy for a one-shot adventure, and I personally don't see running zombie games as a regular game, but that's a pretty minor complaint. This is not to say that it is a rules heavy experience, just that one-shots work best if there isn't a new rule-set to learn for a single adventure.
I definitely recommend this game to fans of the zombie apocalypse genre.
More Fluff, Less Crunch May 12, 2009 Z. Weseman (St. Cloud, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is all about simplicity and streamlining. Unisystem is so easy to learn and use; all you do is roll a d10 add/subtract any mods and shoot for 9+ for EVERYTHING!!! Easy as pie. NO DC's NO Target Numbers just the Number 9 for everything!!! really focuses on story telling and roleplaying, leaves a lot up to that not dice rolls. The only drawback is that you have to create every monster/zombie you fight. if your Dm is willing to do that then this game will be the easiest, smoothest game you've ever played!!!
