The Dark Heresy line has produced some amazing products. Tattered Fates is once again a marvel. The production value is high quality and the art is evocative and masterful.
The adventures starts with the PCs being thrown to the wolves, and while this seems 'raildroady' at first, reading on shows that the game can go in numerous directions. There are milestones to meet and events that the PCs should partake in but, the wonderful thing about the adventure though is its 'sandbox' nature. The GM at the direction of the players can move to the conclusion from a myriad of ways. Typically, in a DH adventure, there is lots of action, and the adversaries are very hard.
As a GM, I would say a good amount of experience is required to shuffle encounters and bad guys, keep with the events behind the scenes and deal with players who are likely to go off the rails since as written, the adventure almost promotes this. I enjoyed the read, but have yet to play it. The end scene is very satisfying and I am looking forward to the next book in the Legacy trilogy.
