3 out of 5 stars para lingua portuguesa   April 5, 2010

5 out of 5 stars Most useful of all the sets.   March 10, 2010

Well, we know how these "tiles" go- yes, you can use them, but they rarely match up to your dungeon. I have fun using them, as I don't mind making up stuff off the cuff to go with the graphics, but other DMs get a little annoyed as the corridors don't go exactly right, and the players always expect the graphics to mean something.

But all DMs have to do the tried and true overland random encounters, and these tiles are perfect for this. Much better than drawing tree after tree or trying to figure out what shots are blocked, what targets have cover, and what terrain is "difficult".

Not just for 4th Ed- 3rd Ed can use these just fine. In fact- useful for any RPG - as long as you don't need hexes!

5 out of 5 stars Great for any DnD campaign   February 24, 2010

These dungeon tile really add to the game. They are versatile, easy to store, and are just plain fun to use. I much prefer using Sinister Woods to drawing tree after tree on my maps.

4 out of 5 stars Mapping Tiles - Can't Have Enough Variety   November 20, 2009

Sinister woods is the 5 set of dungeon tiles in the second series, and like the previous sets is a solid product for any role playing game (not just DnD!) that takes advantage of physical placement in it's game mechanics. As the title suggests it is focused on wooded tiles, with some grass lands and built features thrown in. I personally liked the ruins printed in this set. I used them almost immediately in my gaming group, and everyone at the table loves to see new professional maps and mapping products. You get six thick card stock pages, with various size pieces, an almost water resistant finish (haven't had to test this yet), and a sample encounter area printed on the inside of the paper jacket. You will need to buy multiple copies of this product if you want to create large and complex layouts, but since they are generic you are investing in a multi game product. Once again, a solid gaming product, and we should all applaud Wizards of the Coast for making these kinds of products that are cheap and easy to incorporate in our games, no matter what the system.
