These tiles add a new dimension to D&D games and gives Dungeon Masters an easy and inexpensive way to include great-looking terrain for their games. This set provides ready-to-use, configurable tiles with which to build exciting dungeons and strongholds designed for use with Large and Huge D&D miniatures.

This accessory for the Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game contains six double-sided sheets of illustrated, die-cut terrain tiles printed on heavy cardstock.

Customer Reviews:
4 out of 5 stars A review based on the product, not the aftermarket price   July 5, 2010
Christopher G. Williams
I'm really tired of seeing all these 1 and 2 star reviews that don't actually review the product but instead use this as a soapbox to complain about high 3rd party prices. This review is about the product. Prices go up and down based on demand, why screw over a good product because you don't like someone's price?

Anyway, on to the review...

This is the first set of Dungeon Tiles since 4th Edition D&D came out. It's a great way to get started with the tiles, especially if you missed previous releases, most of which are out of print and unavailable in regular stores. In addition to having a number of good interior pieces (although not ALL are at Giant scale) the flip side offers dungeon pieces which make this a doubly useful set.

There is no adventure or content specifically tied to these tiles, at least not in this package. There is a book from Wizards called Dungeon Delve that offers a number of adventures and also references specific tile sets where appropriate.

This is a great set, very colorful and sturdy. Well worth the original retail price. As for the 3rd party price, you'll have to decide that for yourself... based on the price at the time. Collectors tend to be willing to pay more than the average player, so your mileage may vary.

1 out of 5 stars Another example of gouging.   June 13, 2010

Just as with Amazon's offerings for Streets of Shadow, this is nothing short of gouging. The original price was $9.99. I don't care how out of print this is. I can't afford to spend $35-$40 on a few sheets of cardboard, but I would love to play the game with them. Do you realize how many sales you could have if you sold this at a reasonable (less inflated price)!? Not worth more than $15. Final offer!

Also a note to Amazon: All of your sellers for Dungeon Tiles (In general; not just this one) are gouging. And it is appearing that you are explicitly encouraging this by not seeking out competitive vendors. I have found many sites offering dungeon tiles for less than half your sellers' prices elsewhere and will not buy from Amazon when they allow this practice to occur. Please search out competitive sellers.

I've purchased a few of the DT products for my home game. Having them handy has greatly increased our play experience since it doesn't take long to put the maps together, and I don't need to worry about drawing all the terrain features.
