I don't post reviews often, but I'm posting a review of this game. That should say enough. Incredible game.
dont know whats so great, beutiful and compelling July 21, 2010 M. Vasiljevic (Belgrade, Serbia) 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
this is yet another game that is waay to overpraised. i just wander how atlus and namco got idea to publish this one. it could be death to them. sure, this is just my opinion but new PS3 game, not to mention de luxe edition, cost just a lot for me, esp game this bad.
you can choose from different classes, customise attributes like in old school Bard's Tale game, and play 3d hack and slash style RPG. So, what is so bad about it? Game has no save points and enemies are difficult. There are not even teleport scrolls like in Diablo, where you open portal and go back to city to recover health. Game is really difficult and it is no fun doing level again and again from beginning in order to make it to boss and save only after it. Concept is like Commodore 64 game and we saw it. Even killed enemies are resurrected each time.
This game is relentless, but certainly isnt beautiful and playable. I gave it few hours and really dont wanna put it in my PS3 again, especially not before I play some real good ones to the end.
Overpraised, even much more than Uncharted 2. rent first!!!
I LOVE this game July 17, 2010 Charles L. Gilmore III (Carson, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I know, I know! So many people have written about this game, and well, I just had to say something, so, I am another one.
I absolutely love this game! It has sucked soooo much time out of my life and I regret not a minute of it. I love this game so much that I have bought two copies to give to some of my friends who love complexly hard and satisfying games.
Most people will tell you all about the game, but if you want a synopsis, then read another review. What I will tell you that there is sooo much to do, and so many ways to do it, that replay will be a must, especially if you want to experience all that the game has to offer.
What I do want you to know is that this is a fantasy/sword and sorcery action rpg that has to be played to be truly enjoyed, and I have to say that I have never seen an online multiplayer game implimented in such a way as this(check it out and see what I am writing about) but, do not consider it an online multiplayer game due to the fact that it is just as fun offline.
Okay, okay, I am done with my sorry review. I know that I did not say much, but trust me, get this game, it says it all for itself.
Great Action RPG game July 15, 2010 semore butts 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you can get past the high level of difficulty this game is a great RPG. I had alot of fun up grading my character and actually having a challenge to get to the next boss. It also has a very unique online option if you want some help, or to battle another person.
I cant wait for a DS 2 if they ever make one.
Most frustrating game I've played July 11, 2010 Sergio Oses Puchkov (CR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There's a fine line between challenging and frustration; I love when a game is difficult because that makes it more enjoyable to finish, especially if you are a gamer like myself, that never uses FAQs or walkthroughs from Internet. Examples of difficult games are Devil May Cry 3 and Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter, those are really challenging ones, and not everyone will be able to finish them. Demon's Souls is a great game, but it punishes so much and is so unforgiving that, after beating the game I didn't wanted to play again. Gear and weapon development are tied to item farming which has numerous annoyances that are a detriment of the gameplay experience.
The best aspect of this title is the multiplayer experience, get help to defeat a tough stage or invade other player's worlds is addictive; most of the bosses are very well designed, and your adrenaline will flow when you get in a difficult situation or get invaded by another player.
